Senior Environmental Engineer – USVI & US Projects

About the role

As a Senior Environmental Engineer you will lead engineering, design, and permitting for environmental projects across the US Virgin Islands and the mainland United States. You will evaluate site assessment data, engineer solutions, and oversee projects from design through construction and operation, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate site assessment data and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead field investigations, including drilling, monitoring well installation, and sampling of soil, air, surface water, and groundwater.
• Develop remediation designs, plans, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Prepare permit applications, regulatory submittals, and respond to agency comments.
• Manage construction quality assurance to ensure work meets design documents.
• Monitor performance of completed systems and recommend operational improvements.
• Support client compliance programs such as air permits, TPDES, SPCC, CZM, and EPCRA.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and specialists.

Required profile

• B.S. in Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of environmental engineering experience, preferably in consulting.
• PE license preferred, or EIT with ability to obtain PE within 12 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
