About the role
Mastercard’s regulatory experts are responsible for liaising with regulators around the globe for the purpose of meeting its supervisory obligations as well as minimizing and addressing the impact of regulations on the company. This position will drive the execution of the regulatory strategy across technology infrastructure and operational and enterprise resilience, ensuring alignment with evolving global regulatory expectations while enabling business growth and innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Support execution and interpretation of regulatory obligations relating to infrastructure/technology, operational and enterprise resilience requirements across Mastercard’s platforms.
- Work closely with technology risk and controls teams to translate regulatory requirements into technology control frameworks.
- Coordinate and lead engagement with regulatory colleagues globally to provide advice on regulatory regimes for technology/infrastructure, operational and enterprise resilience.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment with legal colleagues on regulatory requirements of commercial contracts with third parties relating to technology and infrastructure deals.
- Define and implement scalable regulatory approaches to technology and operations, and enterprise resilience obligations.
- Own and oversee enterprise execution with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure coordinated execution of regulatory obligations across infrastructure and related regulatory framework.
Required profile
- JD from an established and reputable law school.
- Experience with infrastructure, technology, operational and enterprise resilience, and a high‑level understanding of applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Experience translating complex regulations into clear operational guidance for technology/infrastructure, resilience, and supplier management teams.
- Experience in a regulatory position in a corporation, law firm or government context within payments, banking or financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and regulators globally.
- Strong executive presence and decision‑making capability in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven success navigating multinational organizations and operating effectively within a diverse multicultural organization.
- Proactive, time‑sensitive, results‑driven approach.
