Senior Controls Engineer

About the role

Dematic Corp. seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to lead complex engineering work for material handling systems within its Lifecycle Services and Solutions organization. The role ensures project standards across hardware, software, electrical, and system solutions from kickoff through customer acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve controls standards and documentation.
• Support project engineering teams with controls design, review designs, and assist validation activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, provide integration support, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Review system-level drawings for compliance and promote safety through clear communication.
• Travel up to 40% to project sites, customer meetings, and supplier visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Controls Engineering.
• 8+ years of controls engineering experience delivering project solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer‑facing technical discussions.

Required skills

• Industrial communication protocols: EtherNet/IP, Modbus, CIP Safety, SafeLink, PROFINET, PROFIsafe.
• PLC platforms: Allen‑Bradley and Siemens TIA Portal.
