Senior CET Designer (Commercial Interiors)

About the role

Bold Business is seeking a Senior CET Designer to support a top-tier U.S. commercial furniture dealership representing brands such as Haworth, Teknion and MillerKnoll/Kimball. The designer leads the end-to-end design process, turning complex client needs into functional, visually compelling workspace solutions, and acts as a key link between design, sales and technical execution. The role involves fast-turnaround, high-precision drawings, renderings and specification packages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead space planning, furniture layout design and photorealistic rendering with CET Commercial Interiors (Configura) and AutoCAD.
• Create accurate product specifications, bills of materials and line-item pricing so orders can move smoothly to entry and installation.
• Review architectural plans, verify field measurements and inventories, check code and ADA compliance and account for MEP and architectural site conditions.
• Work with account managers, sales reps, architects and contractors to present design options and align with client budgets and timelines.
• Check all deliverables (drawings, specs, finishes, hardware) before client presentation and order placement.
• Select finishes, fabrics and products aligned with modern workplace trends, ergonomics and standards such as LEED and WELL.
• Prepare installation packages, power and data location plans and final as-built drawings.
• Stay current on product lines and CET extensions, and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a closely related field.
• 4+ years of experience in commercial interior design or commercial furniture dealership workflows.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with confidence presenting designs to clients and reviewing them technically.
• Strong organization and time management, able to handle several high-priority projects at once.
• Dedicated home office with a powerful PC/laptop and high-speed internet (at least 50 Mbps upload/download).
