About the role

The Registered Nurse will lead patient care on the Neurosurgery Unit (MedSurg) at Kings Hwy, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, ensures culturally sensitive care, and supports the strategic goals of the department.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs of patients and families and provide tailored education.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, acting as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Analyze data and outcomes to drive improvements and achieve optimal patient results.
Adapt interactions to respect patient privacy, cultural preferences, and individual communication styles.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required); Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred certification in a clinical specialty area.
