Reverse Engineer (Anti-Bot)

About the role

Digital Shelf by NIQ is seeking a Reverse Engineer specialized in anti‑bot technologies to strengthen its data‑extraction platform. You will work remotely, analysing web and mobile applications to uncover and bypass security mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse web and mobile binaries (APK/IPA) and decompile code to reveal hidden logic, especially cryptographic functions.
• Evaluate and bypass advanced anti‑bot protocols such as TLS, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, WebSockets, DoH and session management.
• Design and maintain custom Python tools and frameworks that automate bypass techniques and adapt security stacks in real time.
• Implement stealth scraping methods including browser patching, headless‑browser evasion, proxy tunnelling and human‑behaviour emulation.
• Continuously test, disrupt and improve existing tools to stay ahead of evolving defenses.

Required profile

• Passionate about pushing systems to their limits while adhering to ethical standards.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, capable of working independently and collaborating within a dynamic team.
• Experience with reverse‑engineering tools and binary analysis.

Required skills

• Python programming (advanced scripting and framework development).
• Reverse‑engineering tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.
• Deep knowledge of TLS, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, WebSockets and DNS‑over‑HTTPS (DoH).
• Experience analysing APK and IPA packages and JavaScript code.
