Rental Supervisor – Homewood Mountain & Lake Club

About the role

The Rental Supervisor supports day‑to‑day operations and leadership of the Rentals department, ensuring every guest receives knowledgeable, efficient, and exceptional service throughout their Homewood experience. This position supervises and coordinates all activities of the Rental Shop, including renting and maintaining ski and snowboard equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalized guest service by answering questions, recommending rental products, and resolving concerns promptly.
• Supervise, mentor, and schedule the rental team, providing training and coaching to maintain consistent service standards.
• Manage maintenance, inspection, and safe operating condition of all ski and snowboard equipment.
• Ensure equipment inspections and safety checks follow industry standards and departmental procedures.
• Adjust employee work procedures and schedules to meet fluctuating seasonal guest volumes.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, equipment usage, and shop operations.
• Maintain accurate departmental records and perform rental team duties as needed.
• Communicate staffing, equipment, and operational needs to management in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in hospitality or customer service, preferably in a fast‑paced, luxury ski‑resort environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to stay calm during busy periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, stand and walk for extended periods, and lift items over 50 lb.
