Remote Physician (MD) – Weekday Schedule + Weekend Rotation

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated MD or DO to provide comprehensive medical oversight for a correctional healthcare system. The position is primarily remote (about 90%) with required monthly onsite visits to facilities in Louisiana.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver telehealth consultations and clinical oversight during weekday hours (Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑5 PM).
• Participate in a rotating weekend call schedule (every third weekend).
• Visit Louisiana sites at least once per month to support clinical teams and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted medical license (Louisiana license or ability to obtain).
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or a related specialty.
• Experience in telemedicine, EMR platforms, or regulated healthcare settings preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Experience using telehealth platforms.
