Registered Nurse – Weekend

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care on weekend shifts at its Cedar Crest location. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course and support smooth transitions of care.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Teach and mentor new staff and interns, delegate tasks appropriately, and contribute to unit goals.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN license for Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) required upon hire.
• Ability to prioritize assignments, lift 40‑50 lb, and stand/walk for long periods.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to complete unit‑specific orientation.
