Registered Nurse – Surgical Subspecialty Unit (Kings Hwy)

About the role

This position leads patient care on the Surgical Subspecialty Unit at Kings Hwy, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN delegates, directs, and assists team members while ensuring quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze data to promote change and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior work experience required; certification in a clinical specialty area is preferred.
