Registered Nurse – Medicine Specialty Unit (Kings Hwy)

About the role

The Medicine Specialty Unit on Kings Highway seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality patient care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. The RN will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure culturally sensitive care, and contribute to the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide safe and effective patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary partners.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the care team.
• Analyze data and promote change to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt communication and care approaches to respect patient privacy, cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.
• Perform additional related duties as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (required).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
• Certification in a clinical specialty area (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management abilities with good judgement.

Required skills

• Computer proficiency (software and web‑based applications).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
