Regional Sales Manager

About the role

The Chefs' Warehouse, a distributor of food service ingredients serving more than 50,000 customers, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager. The role is responsible for developing and running all sales activities in an assigned district, staffing and directing a sales team and leading toward maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market to achieve company sales goals and profitability.
• Manage the performance and development of Sales Associates, including one-on-one reviews and coaching.
• Prepare individual and team action plans to find sales leads and prospects, and coordinate plans to enter new markets.
• Assist in marketing plans, help prepare proposals and presentations, and give timely pricing advice to keep margins strong.
• Control expenses within budget and ensure company policies and ethics are followed in the team.
• Recruit and hire Sales Associates according to criteria set by senior management.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of sales experience.
• Extensive experience in relationship management and a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
• Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams; willingness to travel and work in a team.

Required skills

• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
