Regional Property Manager – Chicago

About the role

This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall performance and profitability of a portfolio of properties within a designated region. It involves developing and implementing effective property management strategies, ensuring high tenant satisfaction, and optimizing financial returns for property owners.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the portfolio and individual communities meet operational, financial, and business performance goals by inspecting properties, reviewing reports, and implementing action plans.
• Collaborate with Community Managers and regional support services leaders to improve asset and team performance.
• Take ownership of local and national operational initiatives, championing change and ensuring adoption of revised protocols.
• Oversee and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Prepare and present regular reports on property performance, financial metrics, and market trends to ownership and senior management.
• Foster positive relationships with tenants and address concerns promptly.
• Implement tenant retention programs to minimize turnover and vacancy rates.
• Collaborate with leasing teams to develop and implement effective marketing strategies and achieve optimal occupancy rates.
• Oversee maintenance programs to ensure properties are well‑maintained, compliant with regulations, and presented in excellent condition.
