Regional Maintenance Manager – Northern New Jersey

About the role

The Regional Maintenance Manager will lead on‑site service teams across Northern New Jersey, ensuring maintenance operations meet Greystar standards and compliance. This role combines hands‑on technical oversight with mentorship, budgeting, and vendor management to protect and enhance property assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct annual maintenance inspections and elevated surface inspections, reporting findings to leadership.
• Lead on‑site staff in diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming‑pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, and appliance issues.
• Schedule preventive and floating maintenance activities as needed.
• Develop and deliver training workshops, tracking participation through the Learning Management System.
• Assist the Regional Property Manager with the annual maintenance budget and provide subject‑matter expertise.
• Evaluate suppliers annually on quality, service, and pricing.
• Participate in hiring Service Supervisors, providing technical assessment reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising multi‑disciplinary maintenance teams in residential property environments.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to mentor staff, manage budgets, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.
