About the role
As a Recruiting & Onboarding Partner you will support Alfa Laval Service Center Managers across the United States in attracting, selecting, onboarding and developing skilled‑trades talent such as mechanics, technicians, welders and inspectors. You will build talent pipelines, improve hiring practices and ensure new hires become productive quickly.
Key responsibilities
- Lead recruiting initiatives for mechanics, technicians, welders, inspectors, logistics and other skilled‑trades professionals at Alfa Laval Service Centers.
- Partner with Service Center Managers to understand workforce needs, hiring priorities and local labour‑market challenges.
- Develop and maintain relationships with technical schools, trade schools, apprenticeship programs, military and veteran organizations.
- Create sourcing strategies and talent pipelines to meet current and future workforce demands.
- Coach hiring managers on behavior‑focused interviewing, structured selection tools and recruitment best practices.
- Conduct onboarding programs covering safety, culture and job responsibilities.
- Perform I‑9 employment eligibility verification and support onboarding compliance.
- Track recruiting metrics, hiring trends and retention indicators to drive continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3‑5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting or workforce development, preferably supporting skilled‑trades or industrial hiring.
- Proven ability to build external talent pipelines and partnerships with schools and apprenticeship programs.
- Experience coaching hiring managers and implementing consistent recruiting and selection practices.
- Strong communication, relationship‑building and project‑coordination skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to use hiring metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
