Rail Project Engineer – Design & Lead Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Rail Project Engineer to design and lead rail projects from inception to completion. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design efforts and support Project Managers on multiple rail projects.
• Assign and train junior staff in CAD to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery.
• Attend client meetings and strengthen client relationships.
• Coordinate with governing agencies across states to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures throughout project development.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to deepen business understanding and grow into project management.
• Travel occasionally to project sites, client meetings, and industry conferences.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in rail, transit, or site development projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to a dynamic, employee‑owned culture.
