Radiology Technologist (PRN) – Orthopedic & Sports Medicine

About the role

The Radiology Technologist (PRN) will provide orthopedic and sports‑medicine imaging services in a fast‑paced clinical environment. The role includes patient assessment, safe performance of radiographic procedures, and mentorship of junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Verifies physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Explains imaging procedures to patients and obtains consent.
• Operates radiographic equipment and performs imaging, including contrast administration, according to protocol.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Performs quality‑control checks and regulatory compliance tasks.
• Maintains patient privacy and adapts communication style to diverse populations.
• Assists with departmental operations such as inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Current unrestricted state license and ARRT registration (or eligibility within 90 days).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and travel between facilities.

• Proficiency with radiology information systems and computer applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
