Quality Transformation Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Quality Transformation Engineer to lead enterprise‑wide quality initiatives. Based onsite in Murphy, NC, you will embed quality into every step of the value stream, from supplier to final shipment, ensuring defect‑free, reliable products for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, standardize, and deploy quality systems that drive excellence across manufacturing and the supply chain.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to reduce defects, improve reliability, and meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Lead improvement projects that cut variation, waste, and process complexity.
• Manage supplier quality performance, audits, qualifications, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
• Apply structured problem‑solving methods (8D, DMAIC, A3, 5‑Why) to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Analyze quality and supplier performance data for proactive improvements and real‑time monitoring.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and coach teams and suppliers on SPC, PFMEA, mistake‑proofing, and other quality tools.
• Represent Quality during customer reviews, audits, investigations, and supplier engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related field.
