Quality Control Technician

About the role

The Quality Control Technician ensures that production and prototype assemblies meet customer and industry specifications. This role inspects in‑process and final assemblies, provides feedback to team leads, and drives improvements in quality and efficiency within the CII Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Apply customer specifications, IPC 620 standards and industry standards, read schematics and BOMs to ensure assemblies meet requirements.
• Use electronic and mechanical test equipment such as digital volt meters, calipers, micrometers and programmable circuit testers to verify compliance.
• Log RMA work, NCM issues and DMR returns, maintain records and documentation in the Quality System.
• Audit and complete FAIRs, stop work or declare non‑conforming items when requirements are not met.

Required profile

• High School Diploma required; AA in electronics or related experience preferred.
• Prior experience as a test or repair technician in an AS9100 or equivalent quality system environment is a plus.
• Ability to work 8‑10 hours per day, stand or sit for long periods, lift up to 25 lb and differentiate colors.

Required skills

• Use of digital volt meters, calipers, micrometers and programmable circuit testers.
• Reading schematic drawings and BOMs, interpreting IPC/WHMA‑A‑620A standards.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.100‑2004 drawing interpretation.
• Familiarity with AS9102 FAIR processes.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
