Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to turn complex aerospace designs into scalable production reality. Based in Bingen, WA, you will work on the Flexrotor program, supporting the development and assembly of advanced mechanical, electrical, and uncrewed aerial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document, and release manufacturing processes, work instructions, and tooling for aerospace product assembly.
• Identify and lead process‑improvement initiatives, applying 5S methodology and evaluating quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Manage special projects, including budgeting, timelines, and change control, acting as project manager when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience (minimum 4 years).
• At least five years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or UAS.
• U.S. Person status under ITAR (U.S. citizen, green‑card holder, or authorized).

Required skills

• Proficiency with mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks and CATIA.
• Experience with 3D‑printing processes (FDM, SLS) and composite structures.
• Ability to create and manage manufacturing work instructions, BOMs, and tooling designs.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
