Electronics Assembler – Entry Level

About the role

Custom Interface, Inc is seeking entry‑level Electronics Assembly Specialists to build and test aerospace and aviation products. No prior experience is required; on‑the‑job training will be provided. The role supports the Table Leader in producing assemblies that meet IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Audit kits before work, address any discrepancies immediately.
• Set up and operate crimping, splicing and wire cut/strip machines.
• Perform in‑process quality inspections and maintain required documentation.
• Select and check out necessary tools, returning them after use.
• Ensure work complies with safety policies, employee procedures and quality standards.

Required profile

• Ability to read schematic drawings and interpret specifications.
• Basic math skills for converting fractions to decimals (metric and U.S. units).
• Proficient English reading and writing for task completion.
• Capability to follow complex verbal directions.
• Vision 20/20 (corrected) and ability to differentiate colors.
• Physical ability to stand or sit 8‑10 hours, lift up to 25 lb, and work on stairs.

Required skills

• Operation of crimping, splicing and wire cut/strip machines.
• Use of hand, pneumatic and electrical power tools.
• Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 standard and ability to obtain IPC 620/610 certification.
