Production Machinist – Manual and CNC Lathe

About the role

Lunar Resources, Inc. is seeking a Manual and CNC Machinist to support hands‑on manufacturing of advanced energy and electromechanical systems. The role involves operating a variety of production equipment in a controlled shop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate manual mills, lathes, band saws, drill presses, furnaces, ovens, laser welders and assembly fixtures.
• Load raw materials, set up machines, perform tool changes and adjustments, and monitor operation.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T and work instructions.
• Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other precision instruments.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe workstations and document production and inspection results.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
• Experience in a shop, manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read simple drawings or instructions; training will be provided where needed.
• Dependable attendance, full‑shift availability and US citizenship.

Required skills

• Operating manual and CNC lathes.
• Basic CNC programming or G‑code editing (preferred).
• Use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and material properties.
• Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc or Haas (preferred).
