About the role
Join BASF’s polymer dispersions plant in Chattanooga as a Process Technician Apprentice. You will earn a wage while completing a Chemical Engineering Technology program and gaining hands‑on experience in manufacturing sustainable construction chemicals, adhesives, and packaging products.
Key responsibilities
- Load and unload process equipment and operate it to keep product within customer specifications.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and follow all safety regulations.
- Operate a forklift and handle materials safely.
- Keep accurate batch/run sheets to preserve lot integrity.
- Troubleshoot and solve equipment issues.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment, in all weather conditions, on feet, using stairs and ladders, and lift up to 50 lb.
- Ability to work 12‑hour fixed or rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Commitment to enroll in or continue the academic program at Chattanooga State Community College.
