Porter – Hospitality Support

About the role

The Porter will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness across both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house areas of our upscale restaurant. Working within the Moss New York team, you will ensure that dining spaces, service stations, kitchens and storage areas are consistently stocked, sanitized and ready for service, supporting a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, label, date and store all deliveries in designated areas, adhering to food‑safety standards.
• Remove trash, recycling and cardboard throughout the shift to keep workspaces safe and efficient.
• Wash, sanitize and properly store dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Conduct regular checks of kitchen and service areas, replenishing supplies and transporting cookware as needed.
• Coordinate daily tasks with fellow Porters, chefs and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas, service stations, storage spaces and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize floors, shelves, walls, counters and waste‑disposal zones to uphold high hygiene standards.
