Pediatric ICU RN (PRN) – In‑House Agency – St. Mary

About the role

This 12‑week, PRN assignment is for a Registered Nurse who will lead patient care in the Pediatric ICU at St. Mary. The RN will apply the nursing process, uphold professional standards, and support the unit’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver high‑quality patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
• Analyze data to drive improvements and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Adapt communication and care approaches to respect cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous medications.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required).
• At least 1 year experience as a registered nurse (required).
• Current RN license in the state of practice (required).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
