Part‑Time Community Assistant – Student Living

About the role

The Community Assistant supports the property management team in delivering a high‑quality living experience for residents at Haven at M, a student‑focused community. This part‑time position blends administrative, leasing, and resident‑service duties to help achieve occupancy and retention goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform office administrative tasks such as copying, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling calls, and organizing rent‑related documents.
• Assist with leasing activities: conduct virtual tours, respond to online inquiries, greet and qualify prospects, lead property tours, and show apartments.
• Generate lease paperwork, maintain lease files, and support the move‑in/move‑out process, including mandatory “turn” dates.
• Answer incoming calls, schedule prospect appointments, and conduct on‑campus marketing outreach to drive qualified traffic.
• Coordinate resident events, distribute communications (flyers, newsletters, surveys), and manage after‑hours liaison duties with at least one on‑call shift per week.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on‑call shifts.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple administrative tasks efficiently.
• Commitment to attend mandatory move‑in and move‑out dates.
