Assistant Community Manager – Student Living

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a student‑living community. This position handles daily accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and ensures accurate financial reporting using property‑management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite software, entering data accurately and maintaining system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges, and coordinate with accounting and ownership.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and court representation.
• Handle resident move‑out processes, applying appropriate fees and managing deposit refunds.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and property‑management operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property‑management software.
