About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Hair Stylist (Beautician/Barber) to provide salon services at the West Central Georgia Regional Hospital in Columbus. This hourly position offers $20 per hour, with the possibility of benefits for permanent employees.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hair cutting, styling, coloring, and barbering services for patients and staff.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment and follow all safety and infection‑control protocols.
• Schedule appointments, manage client records, and ensure timely service delivery.
• Maintain and sanitize salon equipment and supplies.

Required profile

• Current, valid Georgia cosmetology or barber license.
• Ability to work day shifts on a part‑time basis.
• Willingness to complete drug screening, TB test, annual influenza vaccination, and other required health evaluations.
• Eligibility to pass a state and national background check.
