About the role

Under broad supervision, the pharmacist will compound and dispense medications at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital in Columbus, GA. The role includes providing consultative services to patients and health‑care providers while ensuring medication safety and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Compound and dispense medications according to prescriptions from physicians, dentists, or other authorized practitioners.
• Provide medication counseling and consultative services to patients and health‑care professionals.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Monitor medication safety, verify dosages, and manage inventory.
• Participate in drug screening, TB evaluation, and annual influenza vaccination programs as required.

Required profile

• Doctorate or professional degree in pharmacology from an accredited institution.
• Current Georgia license to practice pharmacy.
• At least one year of professional pharmacy experience (or two years at the lower‑level Pharmacist 2 position).
• Ability to meet state background check, drug screening, and vaccination requirements.
