Packaging Development Co‑Op (Summer 2027)

About the role

Ocean Spray’s R&D team is seeking a Packaging Development Co‑Op for the Summer of 2027. The role is a 6‑month hybrid position based at the corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. You will gain hands‑on experience in packaging design, lab testing, and cross‑functional project management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Packaging Development team with new packaging designs and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Coordinate and perform line trials and laboratory testing of packaging materials.
• Create and manage packaging specifications and project timelines.
• Communicate project status to internal partners including Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Product Development.
• Collaborate with external packaging suppliers to ensure design feasibility.

Required profile

• Current student enrolled in a Bachelor’s Packaging Science degree program.
• Completed Packaging Materials I & II courses.
• Completed Packaging Distribution coursework.
• Strong communication skills.
