About the role
Busuu is seeking a Freelance Online Japanese Teacher to deliver high‑quality language lessons to its global learner community. The position is fully remote, allowing you to teach from anywhere while supporting corporate clients and individual learners.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and conduct 45‑minute online Japanese lessons for corporate clients.
- Deliver 1:1 private lessons that include language instruction and personalised coaching.
- Perform needs analyses, assess learner levels, create bespoke learning paths, monitor progress during lessons and set clear goals.
Required profile
- Native‑level or C2 proficiency in Japanese.
- Valid teaching certification such as TEFL, CELTA or a related university qualification.
- Experience teaching Japanese to adult learners, preferably in an online environment.
Required skills
- Japanese language proficiency (C2 level).
- Teaching certification (TEFL, CELTA or equivalent).
