Offshore Quality Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking an Offshore Quality Engineer to join its Space and Defense team in Blacksburg, VA. The role focuses on ensuring product quality for motion‑control and electronic components while supporting international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and review confidential quality documentation, contracts, and regulatory flow‑downs.
• Apply analytical tools such as SPC, Gage R&R, 5‑Why, and Fault Tree Analysis to identify and prevent quality issues.
• Perform quote reviews for compliance and cost assignment.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, test procedures, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to resolve quality concerns and share lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% internationally.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and self‑starter attitude in a team‑based manufacturing setting.
