Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Intern

About the role

Moog’s Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering team within the Space and Defense Group is seeking a part‑time intern located onsite in Blacksburg, VA. The role supports engineers and machinists on key engineering tasks and provides technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation and execution of key engineering tasks at Moog.
• Provide technical support to engineers and machinists as needed.
• Review inspection reports, utilize measurement techniques, interpret 2D prints and tolerances, and collect and review data.
• Provide input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
• Operate as a multidisciplinary team member.
• Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical and professional reputation.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at an accredited university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (department‑specific requirements may apply).
• Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship.
• Access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
• Professional disposition with effective communication, a strong desire to learn, positive attitude, and ability to work in a team.
