Offshore Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

Moog’s Space & Defense team is seeking an Offshore Manufacturing Engineer to support motor/resolver production lines and outsource vendors. Based onsite in Blacksburg, VA, you will work with domestic and international teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace and defense programs.

Key responsibilities

• Support Motor/Resolver production lines and external vendors.
• Oversee manufacturing process development with global teams.
• Review drawings, order tooling, create work instructions, labor standards, and facility layouts.
• Respond to RFQs, conduct mechanical and electrical design reviews, and suggest manufacturability improvements.
• Enforce ITAR and other regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related experience (or associate degree with 3 years manufacturing experience).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% internationally.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently in a team‑based environment.
• Cultural awareness to support global operations.
