Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Orthopedic & Sports Medicine (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic and Sports Medicine team in Shreveport. The role works in a collaborative outpatient clinic environment under the supervision of the Medical Director and alongside residents, fellows, attendings, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using approved medical practice processes, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Provide education to patients, families, staff, and the community, and support resident and medical student teaching.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in research methodology development and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies (or graduate of an approved PA program).
• Current APRN license (Family or Adult/Geriatric) or PA license with NCCPA certification in the state of practice.
• Basic and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification; eligibility for prescriptive authority.
• Preferred: minimum 3 years of related experience.

• Proficient computer skills for data entry, retrieval, and documentation.
• Experience with Windows‑style applications and role‑specific software packages.
