Medical Lab Technician – New Graduate (All Locations)

About the role

The Medical Lab Technician receives and prepares specimens, performs analytical laboratory tests, and conducts quality‑control procedures. The role includes calibrating and maintaining equipment, performing phlebotomy when needed, and maintaining patient confidentiality while working under general supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Perform specimen testing and related calculations.
• Ensure quality performance and adherence to regulatory compliance guidelines.
• Calibrate, maintain, and monitor laboratory equipment.
• Provide phlebotomy services as appropriate.
• Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and preferences.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Associate's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or a related scientific field, or a military MLT certificate.
• No prior work experience required; hospital or clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
• Current state license (if applicable) and ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification as a Medical Lab Technician.
• Compliance with ASCP Certification Maintenance Program for certifications obtained after January 1 2004.
