Medical Biller – California Insurance (Bilingual Spanish/English)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish‑English) Medical Biller with strong experience in California insurance systems. The role covers the full billing cycle, from claim creation to payment resolution, and includes front‑office support such as patient intake and insurance inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end medical billing, including claim submission, payment posting, and reconciliation.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable to ensure timely collections.
• Handle denial management, appeals, and resubmissions.
• Perform insurance verification, eligibility checks, and prior authorizations.
• Navigate payer portals (e.g., Availity) for claims and follow‑ups.
• Communicate with insurers regarding claim status and authorizations.
• Support front‑office operations, including patient intake and insurance‑related questions.
• Ensure compliance with medical necessity documentation and payer requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of full‑cycle medical billing experience.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid/Medi‑Cal, Medicare Advantage, and California HMO plans.
• Ability to work in U.S. time zones (PST, EST, CST).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
