Materials Project Manager – New College Graduate (Chandler, AZ)

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that power semiconductor chips and advanced displays. As a Materials Project Manager for new college graduates, you will support the Central Repair Center’s Headsmart product line by ensuring material readiness for production and repair activities.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, material, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and support outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Participate in the Materials Core Team, handling product development deliverables and commercialization plans.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct risk assessments, and assist with price and delivery negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in production control, materials planning, inventory control, or related operations roles.
• Hands‑on experience with production control and materials management in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage data and resolve material issues.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP system) experience.
• Familiarity with MRP systems.
• Knowledge of inventory management processes.

What we offer

• Salary range: $60,000 – $77,000 per year.
• Location: Chandler, AZ.
