Application Development Engineer (E3/E4)

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Application Development Engineer will lead the product application roadmap, work closely with customers, and drive innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product application roadmap by developing a deep understanding of customer technologies, challenges, and future requirements.
• Serve as the technical lead for complex application development activities, customer engagements, and cross‑functional project teams.
• Drive execution of beta‑site evaluations, customer demonstrations, and proof‑of‑concept activities, ensuring alignment with Statements of Work and project schedules.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical field (Master’s with relevant experience may be considered).
• Experience in semiconductor inspection, metrology, testing or advanced packaging applications.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage customer engagements and solve complex technical problems.
