Material Coordinator – Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Control

About the role

Timken’s Philadelphia Gear division is looking for a proactive Material Coordinator to manage shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities. You will ensure that materials move efficiently and safely while maintaining accurate records and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all shipping and receiving tasks, including scheduling, staging, loading, and unloading trucks.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders and bills of lading.
• Receive, label, store, and track new materials, components, and finished goods using Epicor Kinetic.
• Prepare shipping documents, bills of lading, and required compliance paperwork.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Build and maintain wooden crates using carpentry tools to protect large or delicate items.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety procedures throughout all warehouse activities.

Required profile

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Epicor Kinetic.
• Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
• Ability to use hand tools such as table saws, jig saws, and nail guns.
• Carpentry skills for building wooden crates.
• Commitment to workplace safety, housekeeping, and quality workmanship.
