Manager, New Product Planning

About the role

The New Product Planning Manager will drive market and commercial analysis for Genesis Molecular AI’s AI‑enabled pipeline, supporting strategy, planning and execution of assessments for pre‑clinical and early‑clinical assets. Reporting to the Director of New Product Planning, the role is based in San Diego with a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Market analysis: evaluate disease areas, treatment paradigms and unmet needs to shape positioning of new drug candidates.
• Primary and secondary research: support KOL interviews and conduct epidemiology and literature reviews to validate commercial assumptions.
• Competitive monitoring: track competitor pipelines, clinical readouts, approvals and deals, translating early signals into updated assumptions.
• Development strategy: contribute commercial input to Target Product Profiles and clinical development plans, including endpoints, comparators and indication sequencing.
• Cross‑functional collaboration: work with discovery, preclinical development, business development and finance to keep programs aligned with commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Life‑sciences background, preferably a BS or MS in biology or a related field.
• 1‑2 years experience at a top‑tier consulting firm, investment bank or equity research group (preferred).
• Experience in new product planning, marketing, portfolio strategy, competitive intelligence or a related analytical role in pharma/biotech.
• Exposure to oncology or immunology is a plus.
• Experience conducting commercial assessments for pre‑clinical and early‑clinical assets.
• Strong Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent communication, listening and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
