Maintenance Technician – Ronkonkoma, NY

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our property management team in Ronkonkoma, NY. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and fully functional.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, and coordinating vendors or contractors.
• Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of property amenities and common areas.

Required profile

• Technical and mechanical aptitude with ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing building defects.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with external vendors.
