Maintenance Mechanic – 3rd Shift

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots, diagnoses, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facilities equipment. The role applies hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge and machine‑shop tools to keep Nestlé assets operating at the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, disassemble, and troubleshoot high‑speed packaging machinery and other manufacturing equipment.
• Fabricate, assemble, and repair components using Nestlé’s software reporting system for work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Repair and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, lifts, and hoists.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and manuals to diagnose problems and verify proper equipment operation.
• Install new equipment and ensure cleanliness of tools and work areas after repairs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of related maintenance experience.
• Proficiency as a machinist, millwright, welder, or pipe fitter.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Required skills

• Hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance.
• Use of machine‑shop tools such as saws, drills, and small powered equipment.
• Material handling equipment operation (pallet jacks, lifts, hoists).
• Blueprint and diagram reading.
• Use of Nestlé software reporting system for work orders.
