Junior Drone Pilot (UAS Pilot) - Houston Region

About the role

Arch Aerial LLC is looking for a motivated Junior UAS Pilot (drone pilot) to create content and collect industrial inspection data for its construction and energy service lines. This is a full-time hourly position of about 35-45 hours per week, with possible overtime beyond 40 hours. Training is provided by Arch Aerial for all new hires.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled UAS missions, mainly in industrial settings
• Handle flight execution, data management and data transfer
• Work outdoors in Gulf Coast and Southwest climates, including hot and humid conditions
• Travel is expected; duties are often performed outside the Greater Houston area
• Piloting is done in the field; administrative or data technician duties require being in the office (the position is not remote)
• Opportunities for additional piloting and for training as a Junior Data Technician may arise

Required profile

• Part 107 UAS Remote Pilot Endorsement
• Strong organizational skills and a safety-oriented attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with management, staff, customers and industry
• Experience is valued more than a specific degree; previous professional UAS pilot experience is highly recommended but not required
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) are listed as highly recommended

Required skills

• Familiarity with multi-rotor UAS operation; fixed-wing UAS experience is a plus
• Use of MS Office and online cloud storage and data transfer tools such as Dropbox
• Adobe Suite experience is highly recommended
