About the role
Capgemini is seeking a Junior Desktop Analyst to join its hybrid technical support team in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on providing remote and on‑site assistance to end‑users, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, and supporting point‑of‑sale (POS) environments.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to user tickets via phone, email and remote access tools.
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, peripheral and basic network problems.
- Support and maintain POS systems used by client locations.
- Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of experience in a technical call‑center, IT help desk or similar support role.
- High school diploma or GED; further education not required.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently.
Required skills
- Basic network troubleshooting.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Proficiency with ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with remote access software.
- Remote customer support experience.
