IRL Production Internship

About the role

Gradient, a NYC‑based experiential marketing agency, is looking for a Production Intern to join its IRL (in‑real‑life) production team starting January 2027. The role offers hands‑on experience in planning and executing brand activations for clients in spirits, fashion, film and luxury sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Support the production team with pre‑production research on brands, venues and vendors.
• Gather venue information (availability, fees, A/V, catering, permits, power, security) and build client‑facing venue decks.
• Source décor elements, manage gift‑bag fulfillment and update the Master Production Booklet.
• Assist on‑site during events: check‑in, set‑up, attendee experience, crew meals, rentals and vendor coordination.
• Take detailed notes on internal and external calls and contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions.

Required profile

• Current student or recent graduate interested in event production or experiential marketing.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to see tasks through to completion.
• Strong communicator comfortable making phone calls to gather pricing and information.
• Enjoys fast‑paced environments, last‑minute problem solving and teamwork.
• Based in New York or willing to work on‑site in the city.

Required skills

• Excellent organizational and research abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships.
• Comfort with creating presentation decks and updating production documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
