Interventional Cardiologist – Physician

About the role

Ochsner Health’s John Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join a collaborative 7‑member cardiology group in Covington, Louisiana. The position offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient work within an integrated practice model.

Key responsibilities

• Perform interventional cardiology procedures across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide minimal on‑call coverage at a single hospital while collaborating with non‑invasive, structural and electrophysiology colleagues.
• Utilize full‑spectrum diagnostic tools and the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Engage in teaching, research, and mentorship of students, residents, and fellows.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
• Demonstrated experience with both inpatient and outpatient interventional procedures.
• Commitment to academic activities such as teaching and research.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC EMR platform.
• Expertise in interventional cardiology techniques and diagnostics.
