Integrations Engineer

About the role

As an Integrations Engineer at Runlayer, you will own the coverage surface, ensuring every AI client, agent framework, and MCP server works first‑class through the control plane. This high‑ownership, hands‑on role involves designing, launching, monitoring, and debugging integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of integrations: design, build, launch, monitor, and debug connectors across clients, agent frameworks, and MCP servers.
• Make major AI clients (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, etc.) work first‑class through Runlayer, handling auth, policy enforcement, hooks, and session extraction.
• Provide identity, governance, and observability for agents built on any ADK, including account management and MCP call attribution.
• Maintain reliability of 50+ third‑party MCP connectors, catching upstream breaks and guiding admins through migrations.
• Build and maintain the OAuth broker (TypeScript/Express) and tooling for scaffolding, validating, and publishing new integrations.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, partnerships, and customers to shape the integrations function.

Required profile

• 5+ years building integrations, SDKs, or developer‑platform connectors with strong opinions on partner API design.
• Expert‑level experience with OAuth 2.1, having implemented authorization servers or complex multi‑provider flows.
• Fluency in agent ecosystems, having built or operated MCP servers and shipped at least one agent framework.
• Operational mindset: own production systems, ensure reliability, and trace issues from reports to root cause.
• Experience maintaining a catalog or marketplace of third‑party integrations with versioning and migration patterns.
