HR Operations Associate

About the role

Cape is seeking an HR Operations Associate to partner with Finance, Recruiting, HR, and IT in order to keep back‑of‑house processes running smoothly as the company scales rapidly. You will own end‑to‑end employee experiences from onboarding through ongoing support, using data‑driven methods to improve efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Run recurring new‑hire and headcount reports for Finance and leadership, and act as first responder for employee HR questions.
• Coordinate onboarding logistics, including visa tracking, IT/facility access, and orientation sessions.
• Provide day‑to‑day employee support on leave, benefits, and policy inquiries.
• Maintain accurate payroll and benefits data, interfacing with Sequoia (PEO), Remote (EoR), and the leave platform.
• Draft verification letters, compile core HR metrics, keep HRIS files up‑to‑date, and build dashboards for leadership insight.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in HR Operations.
• Proven ability to automate repetitive HR workflows (forms, reminders, reporting).
• Led and coordinated payroll processes.
• Hands‑on experience with an HRIS, specifically Sequoia.
