Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Faena New York, located at 500 West 18th Street overlooking the High Line, is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department. The manager ensures cleanliness, order and presentation standards across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces, manages team scheduling and quality inspections, trains staff and contributes to world-class guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily housekeeping operations, managing team assignments and productivity expectations.
• Inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness, maintenance and guest readiness.
• Train team members on service standards, safety, chemical handling and room care techniques.
• Work with Front Office, Engineering and F&B on guest requests and room status updates.
• Ensure compliance with DOH, OSHA and property-wide sanitation policies.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling and team development.
• Monitor inventory of linens, guest supplies and amenities.
• Support VIP and special guest room preparation and follow-up service.
• Maintain lost and found documentation and property-wide cleanliness inspections.
• Act as Manager on Duty and lead guest service recovery.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of luxury hotel housekeeping experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
• Experience in union environments preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PMS systems (Opera) and housekeeping applications (HotSOS, Alice).
• Understanding of NYC DOH and OSHA compliance requirements.
• Attention to detail, leadership, problem solving, conflict resolution and time management.
